Hambro - Concrete Floor Systems
Hambro designs, fabricates and sells a concrete floor system
designed primarily for the multi-family housing and commercial
construction markets.
Hambro’s concrete floor system fits perfectly with
a variety of wall types: Masonry, steel frame, metal stud,
pre-cast walls, ICF blocks and wood walls.
Hambro D500
The
D500 system combines Hambro composite steel joists with a
poured concrete slab, using the bottom chord of the joist
as a tension member with the top chord performing as a compression
member, then as a shear connector after the pour.
- Steel/concrete composition ensures a solid and cost-effective
floor construction
- Fire-resistance rating of 3 hours
- Compatible with all types of building structures
Hambro D510
D510
is a cold-formed mini-beam section combined with a poured
concrete slab. The bottom chord of the Hambro joist acts as
a tension member with the top chord performing as a compression
member, then as a shear connector after the pour.
- Economical, using less steel and concrete
- Ideal for short spans
Hambro MD2000
The
MD2000 floor system combines Hambro composite steel joists
with a poured concrete slab as usual, with the pour over metal
deck. The bottom chord of the Hambro joist acts as a tension
member with the top chord performing as a compression member,
then as a shear connector after the pour.
- Ideal in areas heavy in steel trades
- Composite design/rigidity; excellent for concrete slab
construction
Hambro Girder
Developed
for the multi-residential and commercial markets, the Hambro
girder acts as a principal beam supporting the Hambro joists
which are installed perpendicular at regular intervals on
each side. The advantage of the new composite girder is that
it offers greater spans than the conventional steel girder
while maintaining a minimum depth to adapt to the Hambro joists.
